This is my cat....yes, I'm a cat guy. His majesty's name is Roddy. Source of the name....no idea, my daughter picked it out. I wanted to name him Whitman. At anyrate, judging by the way he saunters back and forth across my drawing table with regal impunity, Roddy, unlike many of the kind followers of
Fire and Ice, is unimpressed by my doodlings. Thank you all for your support and compliments.

Handsome cat. Got that "do my bidding" look.
Thank you for introducing me to your muse! ...I didn't think of you as a cat person. He is beautiful. Although I consider myself a dog person, I have been loved by a few cats in my time... I never chose them, they just seemed to find me. . . much like a muse I suppose.
Handsome muse! When I was dating my now husband, I brought him a kitten. It was a test of sorts. He kept the cat and me.
I just noticed that you referred to your muse as a she. Yet, Roddy is a male cat . . . I am not sure I have been introduced to the real muse. Perhaps some things are too
personal. . . Whatever or whomever inspires you must be wonderful to behold.
A beautiful cat indeed. And I'm sure you do Roddy's bidding. Our cat used to get up on my husband's blueprints when he was working up a price on a job. I miss that.
I thought the reference to the muse being female was a personification. Muses in mythology and literature are often female. But who knows, the artist may have an actual inspiration. Let's see if he's telling...
Dante Alighieri, in Canto II of The Inferno:
O Muses, o high genius, aid me now!
O memory that noted what I saw,
Now shall your true nobility be seen!
Gorgeous animal! I love cats too; own a Siamese.
Susannah, shouldn't that be "owned by a Siamese"? LOL!
I approve. ;-)
WO Fay,
Your picture of Roddy is as talented as your sketchpad.
Owned by Heir Charles Von Burgermiceter (Cpl Burgie) guard cat.
